I hope CII remembers Thomas Alva Edison's birthday and his famous quote:-A good idea is never lost. Even though its originator or possessor may die without publicizing it, it will someday be reborn in the mind of another....
It's very nice that an young mind like Mr.Jay Galla has given rebirth to the idea of generating electricity and distributing to nearby areas and so on...In this article, when I read electricity cost as Rs.18 per unit by using diesel as fuel, I wonder why more and more companies cannot opt for electricity from solar, wind, biomass,etc!
Also since Mr.Jay's expertise is in battery industry, he can even drive electric economy especially for transport needs. Companies like of him should set example/role-model in venturing out into Electric Vehicles, so electricity
1.generated in clusters can be productively used for running an enterprise where storage may not be required
2.generated in homes can be productively used for many needs by using low energy consuming appliances, where storage may be required
3.generated in offices,factories,etc can be productively used where storage may not be required
